Hello! My name is Vika.
My type design story started more than 5 years
ago. Since that moment I've been working on retail and custom projects, making collaborations
with type foundries.
Several type families created by me we're internationally awarded: TT Trailers became
the winner of Modern Cyrillic 2019 and also got Granshan 2019 3rd prize, elegant TT Nooks got
Silver prize European Design Awards 2019.
Previous to my type design experience, I worked five years as a graphic designer for Shishki Collective,
a Russian branding agency. While I was working there
I completed six-month "Font-design course" by TypeType Education. I think it's important never stop learning this is why I attended workshops of Lucas
de Groot (Font Design), Jean Francois Porchez (Letterform Design), Rainer Scheichelbauer (Variable Fonts in Glyphs), Bernd Volmer (Font Mastering).
Recently I've launched a project called MontiFonti.
I develop peculiar free fonts for it in my free time.
Being born in Russia, Cyrillic writing country,
I'm interested in developing Cyrillic script.
Actually, I've never believed in aliens before.
But once a grotesque I was working on was infected with an extraterrestrial bacterium. It gave life to
a new variable font TT Alientz. After such an accident
I'm open to collaboration either with people or aliens. If you are interested contact me by my human e-mail:
